Market tending dearer.
- CommentSouth Island only selling today offering 7,300 bales. The selection consisted of mainly crossbred fleece and shears 36.0 to 38.0 micron, good and good/average colour. Also available were good colour crossbred hoggets 31.5 to 35.0 micron. There was a very limited selection of 28.0 micron and finer fleece wool along with associated oddments mostly carding length, average colour. China and Europe main competition with support from Australasian carpet mills.
