AUSTRALIAN WEEKLY MARKET REPORT
Comment
The small selection of quality superfine wool this week attracted strong competition from Italian interests. In possibly the last such offering of the season, selected lots were extreme with buyers representing Italian weavers competing strongly. Despite another large national offering of just under 50,000 bales, the general market again held up very well.

Forecast
Some buyers have been temporarily held up with shipments this week with delays in the logistic supply chain. The surge in volume in recent weeks has again placed some pressure on the dumping and packing of bales. This is expected to be only a temporary issue but has had some impact on current contracts and cash flow for buyers. 50,000 bales are again rostered for sale next week and AWTA test figures indicate that the volume coming in to store for testing is consistent.
