Market generally dearer.
- CommentSouth Island only selling today with 12,830 bales on offer. The selection consisted of mainly good style fleece wool and second shear hoggets average 75mm. There was a reasonable selection of halfbred fleece 24.0 to 28.5 micron. There was a limited selection of merinos of 22.0 micron and finer. Very keen competition with China and Europe main with support from the United Kingdom and Australasian carpet mills.
