Market generally dearer but halfbreds ease.
Comment
South Island only selling today with 8,000 bales on offer. The selection consisted of 55% crossbred fleece, 35.0 to 39.0 micron bulk average colour, 10% second shear 75/100mm and shorter, good colour, 12% crossbred lambs, 10% halfbred fleece 26.0 to 30.0 micron. Also on offer were 10% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types. Good competition with China main and support from Australasian carpet mills and South East Asia.

Halfbred fleece generally 5& cheaper.
Second Shears
75/100mm and shorter 7.5% dearer.
