SCOPE
The Special Fibres & Quality Manager is responsible for coordinating the production of Special Fibres (Cashmere, Vicuna, Mohair, Dark Wool, etc.), according to Customers needs. The role supervises the whole department and aims to optimize the available resources for meeting the quality standards and the deliveries agreed with the Customers.
The position is also accountable for the Quality Laboratory in terms of respect of the quality standards set by the Group and the Customers. The role shall set the priorities and guarantee the correct maintenance of the Lab tools, also implementing and monitoring the procedures and best practices.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning of production for both high and low volumes, in direct cooperation with the MD for the biggest commitments;
- Provide advice and technical support to Customers on possible combing and/or dehairing of the special fibres;
- Daily reporting on production and deliveries;
- Quality control of batches related to the combing cashmere;
- Support and advice to other Schneider Group companies and Customers on analysis procedures and laboratory equipment;
- Organize ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of the Lab equipments;
- Direct management of the Lab staff and supervision of the Special Fibres department on the shopfloor.

QUALIFICATIONS
