South Island only selling this week with 8,300 bales on offer. The selection consisted of 21% crossbred fleece, good/average style, 36.0 to 38.0 micron, 100/150mm, 12% crossbred hogget fleece 30.5 to 35.0 micron good style bulk 75/100mm, 8% crossbred second shear super style bulk 75/100mm, 17% halfbred fleece, 23.0 to 29.0 micron, good style, 8% merino fleece super style 15.0 to 22.0 micron, 29% associated oddments and 5% miscellaneous types. Main competition Continent and China with support from the United Kingdom, India and local carpet mills.

Merino fleece 21.5 micron and finer in line with recent Australian correction.
