Summary
Market continues to ease for finer wools while coarser wool firmed.
Comment
South Island selling 8,500 bales and North Island offering 8,200 bales. Total 16,700 bales on offer. Both islands predominantly offering hogget fleece and shears 30 to 35 micron good colour. South Island 10% merino fleece 16 to 22 micron, 15% mid micron fleece 23 to 25.5 micron. Widespread competition with most sectors operating. Europe main with support from China, Australasian carpet mills and India/Sub Continent.

19.0-26.0 micron generally 3% cheaper.
27.0-31.0 micron 2% cheaper.
32.0-36.0 micron fleece firm.
37.0 micron coarser fleeces sellers favour.
Second Shears
Crossbred shears very firm.
